Town of North Hempstead seeking FEMA funds

Even though the National Weather Service says a tornado did not hit Long Island, North Hempstead Town Supervisor Jon Kaiman says the town will still file for federal aid.

Bill Goodman, of the National Weather Service, surveyed the damage in Great Neck. Goodman says there were dozens of large trees uprooted and widespread damage that showed signs of winds ranging from 85 to 105 mph.
