LIPA works around the clock to restore power
LIPA crews worked overnight and throughout the day today to restore power to the thousands of customers who lost electricity because of the storms.
At one point, more than 30,000 customers lost power across Long Island.
Some Great Neck residents were forced to go without air conditioning, refrigerators and Internet while crews worked.
Barry Sedaghatfar, who owns the restaurant Safa, says he?s been forced to cancel two parties already because of the lack of power.
