Foreclosure threatens Center Moriches animal rescue

An animal rescue shelter in Center Moriches is in danger of being foreclosed on and its owners are asking for help.

Katie's Critters Small Animal Rescue has helped more than 300 small animals find new owners and it says donations are dwindling. Wendy and John Culkin turned their home into a rescue shelter in 2008.

The couple says they are $13,000 behind on their mortgage and they have only two weeks before the bank starts the foreclosure process.

?We can always find a place,? Wendy Culkin says. ?We can move into an apartment. That's fine, where are all these animals going to go??
