LIers hopeful that the Knicks will land LeBron James

Long Islanders are keeping their fingers crossed in the hopes that NBA superstar LeBron James will come to play in New York.

The two-time MVP from the Cleveland Cavaliers officially became a free agent today and is being courted by a number of NBA teams, including the New York Knicks and the New Jersey Nets. Both teams met with James today in Ohio.

Knicks fans are hopeful that the addition of King James could help the struggling franchise considerably and also help the economy in the Big Apple.
