2 men save woman from burning car

Two men are being hailed as heroes this evening after pulling a North Massapequa woman from her car just seconds before it burst into flames.

Police say 64-year-old Angiolina Mancuso suffered a broken leg and some fractured bones when she crashed her car on Sunrise Highway in North Amityville this afternoon.

According to investigators, bystanders who witnessed the crash saw the engine ignite and immediately went into action. Deris Medlock and Freddy Rodriguez pulled Mancuso from the wreckage. Moments later the entire car burst into flames.
