Long Island residents flock to Jones Beach

The temperature was rising all across Long Island this holiday weekend and Long Island residents headed to beaches to cool off.

Officials say almost 105,000 people packed Jones Beach July 4th. People went swimming, played volleyball and laid out in the sun for most of the day.

With temperatures reaching the high 90s, officials warned residents to use sunscreen and stay hydrated.
