Decades later, senior boys of summer still love the game

In baseball, Old Timers? Day is a long-held, once-a-year tradition that celebrates former players.

But every Sunday is Old Timers? Day in West Babylon, where players in their golden years take to the field despite occasional ailments and aches.

The Braves is a team of players in their 50s, 60s and 70s who play because after all these years, they still love the game. One of their star base runners is 72 years old.

They say that playing still brings the same exhilaration and excitement it brought when they were Little Leaguers.
