Beach battle brewing over properties in Wading River

A group of Wading River homeowners say they have had enough with people trespassing on their private beachfront properties, thinking it's a public beach.

"This is our backyard," says Amy Csorny, of Wading River. "We have title insurance, we have deeds, we pay real estate taxes on the entire lot."

Csorny and her neighbors say people are constantly walking and driving on their land. They say that is why they have recently posted new "No Trespassing" signs.

However, some Wading River residents say almost everyone respects the rules, rendering the signs an unnecessary eyesore.

The homeowners say the Riverhead Town supervisor told them to take the signs down.
