Remembering legendary Yankee announcer Bob Sheppard
Family and friends are remembering legendary Yankees announcer Bob Sheppard today.
A wake for Sheppard is being held at the Fullerton Home on Merrick Road from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
Sheppard's funeral will be tomorrow at St. Christopher's Church in Baldwin.
Sheppard was behind the microphone at Yankee Stadium from 1951 to 2007. He passed away Sunday at the age of 99.
Last night at the All-Star game, Sheppard?s voice announced Yankees captain Derek Jeter.
