Cablevision: Optimum e-mail disruption resolved
Cablevision says the earlier Optimum e-mail disruption has been resolved.
Cablevision confirmed that there was a "slowdown" with its Optimum Online e-mail service that affected an unknown number of customers since yesterday.
"The issue was caused by a digital mail storage device malfunction," Cablevision said in a statement. "No e-mails were lost."
Employees at American Real Estate Associates in St. James say the e-mail blackout was bad for business because that's how they communicate with their clients.
Cablevision is the parent company of News 12 Networks.
