Bethpage doctor accused of videotaping girls

A Bethpage doctor is accused of blindfolding and videotaping at least nine girls between 2007 and this year.

Officials say after his arrest, Dr. Rakesh Punn confessed to touching and videotaping the girls, one of them 11 years old, while giving them physical exams.

Police say they found five videos on his computer and believe there are more victims. Prosecutors say they're looking into whether Punn drugged the girls before making up excuses to have them blindfolded.

Punn's attorney, however, says his client could've had medical reasons for making the tapes.

Punn is being held on $3.5 million bail. Investigators are asking other people who may have been victimized by Punn to contact Nassau County's Special Victims Unit at 516-573-7960.
