Police crack down on crime in Huntington Station

Following multiple shootings and stabbings in Huntington Station, police are turning their attention to out-of-control parties.

Starting tonight, a specialized police unit will focus on rowdy gatherings taking place on Friday and Saturday nights.

The most recent shooting in Huntington Station happened last Sunday, when a 16-year-old girl was shot in the leg near Jack Abrams Intermediate School after leaving a graduation party.

A week earlier, two teenagers were shot and another man was killed in the area.
