Cops: Wanted NJ man found dead in NY; kids safe

? Police say the New Jersey man wanted for questioning in the murder of his ex-wife was found dead in a New York motel and his two young daughters are safe.

According to investigators, Anthony Trapp, who once lived in East Meadow, was found dead at Bear Mountain Bridge Motel in Fort Montgomery this morning.An Amber Alert issued for the couple's children, 20-month-old Sophia and 5-year-old Emma, was canceled when the girls were found safe.The girls came out of their hotel room around 7:30 a.m. on their own.

Trapp's ex-wife, Heather, was found dead in his Old Bridge Township home Thursday.
