? Police have arrested two men after they were found to be in possession of several packages that were stolen from the front of homes in Lindenhurst.
According to police, during the past three weeks, several residents have reported that packages that had been delivered and left in front of their homes had been stolen.
One resident says he was able to capture a silver four-door vehicle on his home's video surveillance system. Officials say another victim of the thefts also observed a similar vehicle in the Lindenhurst area and notified police. Police have arrested Colby Fiedler and Vincenzo Francese, both 19 years old, in connection with the thefts.
Police say their investigation revealed that Fiedler and Francese were in possession of five different delivery boxes that were addressed and delivered via United Parcel Service and the United States Postal Service to other individuals. Fiedler and Francese were both charged with three counts of criminal possession of stolen property.
News 12 Long Island?s Erin Colton spoke with Francese who admitted that he was involved in the scheme, but that he was only the driver. Francese said two other kids were the ones doing the actual stealing. Both men were issued appearance tickets and are scheduled to be arraigned Feb. 27.
