Man rescued after car plunges into Forge River in Mastic

Cops say a car plunged into the Forge River in Mastic early this morning.

The Cadillac was pulled out of the river just after midnight.

Police say the unidentified man made a fast turn, hit a guard rail and lost control on Patchogue Avenue.

Police and dive teams helped pull the car from the water.

The man was alone in the car and was not seriously injured.
