Cops search for arsonist who tried to torch Massapequa CVS

Officials have released surveillance video of an arsonist who tried to torch a CVS in Massapequa.

Cops say a man with bulky clothing and sunglasses came into the CVS on Broadway in Massapequa on Sept. 15.

The man allegedly doused the gift card section with a liquid and set it on fire.

Investigators say employees put out the flames but smoke filled the store and the man got away.

Anyone who recognizes the man can call Nassau Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
