Hampton Bays woman arrested for alleged drug possession

Cops say a routine stop for a broken headlight lead to a drug arrest on the East End.

According to police, a state trooper stopped Colleen Desiano, of Hampton Bays, on Montauk Highway in Southampton Wednesday for a broken headlight.

Cops say the trooper noticed a strong smell of marijuana, and say Desiano told them she had just finished smoking pot. Troopers say they also found 65 oxycodone pills and a glass pipe in Desiano's car.

Desiano is now facing several drug charges and traffic violations.
