Solages beats incumbent Nassau Legislator Ciotti

In one of the most closely watched races in Nassau County, Democrat Carrie Solages has defeated Republican incumbent John Ciotti in Nassau?s 3rd Legistlative District. The contest was thrust into the spotlight after a campaign worker for Ciotti was caught on video making a racially charged remark to Solages' sister. Solages said if elected he would push for common-sense reforms in the county. Ciotti is the deputy presiding officer of the Nassau County Legislature.
