Cops seek suspects in Island Park home invasion

Police are searching for four gunmen who forced their way into an Island Park home last night and pistol-whipped three people, including a 6-year-old boy.

According to investigators, a 25-year-old woman opened the side door of her Kildare Road home at around 10:40 p.m. to discover four masked suspects all dressed in black.

After hitting the woman, a 17-year-old boy and a 6-year-old boy in the face with their guns, police say the suspects proceeded to ransack the home. The gunmen got away with some jewelry and a cell phone.

One of the victims of the attack was taken to the hospital for observation.

Anyone with information on the home invasion is being asked to call Nassau Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
