Police investigate murder of Islip teen

Suffolk police are continuing to investigate the murder of an Islip teen found dead in a wooded area after being missing for two days.

Kyle Underhill, 18, was found in a marshy area behind Commack Road Elementary School early Saturday morning. Police quickly ruled the death a homicide after they had been searching for him for the previous two days.

Investigators say the medical examiner has yet to determine the cause of death.

Police say they are looking into a quote that he wrote in a yearbook while attending Islip High School.

"To all my friends, I'm so glad for the times we had together. If we never see each other again, I'll miss you dearly. To everyone else, I hate you all. The best part of graduating is knowing I'll never have to see any of you again. I don't think I've ever known so many people I hated so much all at once," he wrote.

So far, police say they have no suspects in the death.
