UC Davis promises quick investigation of pepper spray incident

University of California officials are promising a quick investigation of campus police who blasted protesting students with pepper spray.

The video shows officers spraying the students as they sat peacefully at UC Davis.

The students were said to be protesting tuition costs.

After the video went viral, there has been outrage and the school says it is accelerating what would have been a three-month investigation.

School Chancellor Linda Katehi says she takes full responsibility but will not step down.

Two police officers have been placed on administrative leave.
