Teen granted order of protection in underage drinking case

A judge today granted an order of protection for a 14-year-old against a mother of three who was charged with endangering the teen's welfare back in September.Michelle McKinney, a 44-year-old mother of three, is accused of allowing teens to drink during a party at her Ronkonkoma home. Prosecutors say the 14-year-old was so intoxicated that she had to be hospitalized.News 12 Long Island is not releasing the name of the teen because she is a minor.McKinney's attorney insists there was no alcohol at the party. He says her client even had other adults over to supervise and check the kids' backpacks as they entered the Duane Drive home.Friends of McKinney call the accusations crazy.
