Thanksgiving feast held for patients at Southside Hospital
For most Long Islanders, Thanksgiving means spending time with family and friends, but for some, that is not possible.
Patients at Bay Shore's Southside Hospital physical rehabilitation and brain injury unit were treated to a feast today.
Patients and volunteers prepared some of the trimmings while chef Moe Saleh, who is just back from the Food Network's "Iron Chef" competition, whipped up the rest.
Army veteran and retired physician's assistant Tom Murray couldn't be home after surgery, so he and his family had dinner at the hospital.
