Loved ones mourn Manorville mom and son killed in crash

Grieving family and friends came together in Lake Ronkonkoma today to say their farewells to a mother and son who were killed in a Manorville crash last weekend.A half-dozen modified cars sat outside Moloney Funeral Home, honoring Keri Trinca and her 7-year-old son, Jason, who both loved racing. The Manorville mother and son died last Saturday when a van broadsided their car. Trinca's two other children survived the crash. Marialena Trinca, 4, remains hospitalized with serious injuries, while her 2-year-old brother, Christopher, was released home yesterday. Now, dozens of friends and relatives are taking turns visiting with Keri Trinca's widower, Jason, and his son, hoping to ease their loss. The funeral Mass for the mother and son will be held Monday morning at St. John the Evangelist Parish in Center Moriches.
