Siena Poll: New Yorkers have favorable opinion of Gov. Cuomo

In a new poll released by Siena College, the majority of New Yorkers asked say they approve of the job Governor Andrew Cuomo's (D-NY) doing.

Seventy-one percent of those polled say they have a favorable opinion of Gov. Cuomo. Less than 25 percent say their opinion of the governor is unfavorable, while only seven said they didn't know or didn't have an opinion.

On the issue of the state's budget, over half say they want to cut spending in order to solve the problem. Thirty-five say the state should increase revenues through new taxes, and only eight percent want both ideas combined.
