Roosevelt's Sagamore Hill home to close for 3 years

Officials have announced that Theodore Roosevelt's Sagamore Hill home will close for three years on Dec. 5 for renovations. The closure means tours will end Dec. 4 at the Roosevelt family's Cove Neck home. A federal grant is paying for the $6.2 million rehabilitation. The National Parks Services says the 1885 home will get a comprehensive interior and exterior rehabilitation of its architecture and structure from its roof to the foundation.
