9/11 American flags line perimeter of Commack H.S.

Students in Commack are showing their support for the heroes of Sept. 11 with a dramatic display outside their school.

The students have lined 9/11 brilliant American flags around the perimeter of Commack High School on Scholar Drive. The special dedication and fundraiser were organized by the school district's spokesperson, Debbie Virga.

Each flag costs $25 and comes with a small ribbon, the name of the person who bought it and whomever they are dedicating the flag to. All proceeds will go to the Wounded Warrior Foundation and Dollars for Scholars.

The entire Commack community will also join together for a memorial ceremony Sunday at 6 p.m.
