Hofstra law school receives $20M donation, new name from alumnus
? The law school at Hofstra University just received its biggest donation ever. Alumnus Maurice A. Deane donated $20 million to Hofstra's law school. It will be renamed the ?Maurice A. Dean School of Law" in his honor.Deane enrolled in the law school at the age of 50 and was valedictorian in 1981. Deane later turned ?Endo Pharmaceuticals? into one of the largest privately run pharmaceutical companies in the country.
