Police drop charges against freelance cameraman

? Charges against a freelance news cameraman who was arrested in a confrontation with a Suffolk police sergeant have been dropped. Phil Datz was arrested while covering a police pursuit in Bohemia last month. A sergeant told Datz he was not allowed to be there. Datz moved a block away to a public area where other people were and kept recording but the sergeant arrested him. As a result, Suffolk cops are getting a refresher training course on dealing with the media.
