White House hits gas for more fuel-efficient cars
The White House is making a push to help the environment and reign in the United States' use of oil.
President Barack Obama says he wants American cars and trucks to average 56 miles per gallon by 2025, which is nearly double the current average. His administration says it's in negotiations with the auto industry to make it happen.
Many drivers say they support the ambitious goal, but automakers warn that cars could get smaller and pricier in order to achieve it.
