Mets outfielder Eric Young Jr. visits children at Stony Brook University Hospital cancer center
New York Mets outfielder Eric Young Jr. visited children at Stony Brook University Hospital's cancer center Thursday.
"This is my opportunity to put smiles on faces off the field. I enjoy coming here," Young told News 12.
Children at the center attend a Mets game each year. They will be at Citi Field on May 24 to root on the Amazin's.
Doctors and nurses say the visit lifted the spirits of the children he spoke with.
