Police: Ruben Renderos, 18, of Williston Park, charged with attempted murder after stabbing 14-year-old brother

A Williston Park teen is facing charges for allegedly attacking his younger brother.



Police say Ruben Renderos, 18, told his 14-year-old brother that he was going to commit suicide, and did not want his brother to be lonely without him. He then allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the boy in the head, back and chest.



Renderos was arrested a short time later. He is now being charged with attempted murder.



His younger brother is in stable condition.
