LIRR worker recovers after welding incident

An LIRR worker is recovering after being injured while working on the tracks in Babylon.



Chopper 12 was over the scene this morning on Cooper Street where the incident occurred.



The MTA tells News 12 the worker was burned while he was welding.



The worker is in the hospital, but is expected to be OK.



LIRR service was not impacted.
