Wilfredo Flores accused of fatally stabbing Carlos Velasquez in Central Islip

Police say a man is under arrest after a fatal stabbing in Central Islip. 



The incident happened in front of a home on Pinewood Avenue around 9 p.m. Sunday.



Police tell News 12 they were called to the scene after reports of yelling. 



When police arrived, they found Carlos Velasquez, 40, in the street. 



Police say Velasquez had been stabbed in the torso and died later at the hospital. 



Officers arrested Wilfredo Flores, 28, of Bay Shore, at the scene after witnesses held him for police.



So far there is no word on a motive.
