Police say a man was killed in a house fire in Sagaponack this morning.
A 911 caller reported the fire at the home on Narrow East Lane at around 6 a.m.
Several surrounding fire departments helped to douse the flames.
Police say 71-year-old James Beres was found dead inside the home. A family dog also died.
One person was able to escape.
