Keiron Persad accused of DWI, hitting 2 cars filled with passengers on LIE

Police say a drunk and speeding driver hit two SUVs filled with passengers Tuesday night. 



The incident happened on the LIE between exits 64 and 65. 



Police say Keiron Persad, 25, of Medford, rear-ended an SUV with a mother, father and two kids inside. 



According to police, Persad then side-swiped another SUV with four people inside. 



The parents and kids were treated for minor injuries. 



Persad was charged with drunken driving.
