Flush the Johns case: 1 man convicted, 1 case dismissed

A Queens man was found guilty today in connection with the controversial "Flush the Johns" prostitution sting while another had his case dismissed a second time.
Vadim Cruchinin is among 104 men arrested in the Nassau DA's prostitution sting. His lawyer slammed the DA for the way the case has been handled.
"The guilty verdict in today's trial, this sting's 14th conviction, is a reminder that patronizing a prostitute is indeed a crime and will be prosecuted thoroughly and fairly," said Nassau County District Attorney's Office spokesman Shams Tarek. "Patronizing prostitutes creates the demand for human sex trafficking and when johns are not held accountable, it only contributes to the victimization of women."
Another defendant, Tamir Dardashtian, had his case dismissed today. The judge blasted prosecutors saying the wrong charges were filed against the suspect.
The DA plans to appeal the case.
