Gabila’s Knishes back in business after September fire in Copiague

The world's largest producer of square knishes sent out its first shipment since a fire shut down production.

A fire damaged a machine at Gabila's Knishes, based out of Copiague, back in September.

Gabila's typically produces 15 million square knishes a year. The five Ben's Deli locations in New York sell 10,000 Gabila's knishes a week combined.

News 12 was at the Long Island Bagel Café in Merrick, where the first batch of knishes received rave reviews from customers.
