A Queens teenager was sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to committing sexual assaults last year in Valley Stream.
Nashane Peterkin, 17, pleaded guilty last month to choking and beating a 60-year-old woman at Valley Stream State Park last September before raping her.
Peterkin also pleaded guilty to attempting to rape a pregnant woman outside the Valley Stream train station last August. The woman's husband says he and their children found her in the middle of the street after she was attacked.
Before he was sentenced, the woman assaulted by Peterkin at the park gave a victim impact statement, where she told him, "You told me not to tell, but I stand before you stronger than ever."
