Dog injured after being thrown from moving truck in Mastic Beach

A $2,000 reward is being offered for any information leading to the person who tossed a dog out of a moving truck Tuesday night in Mastic Beach.

Witnesses say the dog was thrown through the window of a dark-colored, four-door pickup truck Tuesday night.

The dog suffered head trauma from the incident. SPCA officials say the dog also has scars on its face and may have been used as bait for dogfighting.

Anyone with information can call the Suffolk SPCA at 631-382-7722.
