Cuomo: Tax dollars to pay for inmate education
Gov. Andrew Cuomo says college educated inmates are less likely to commit new crimes.
Cuomo's office says it will cost about $5,000 a year to educate each prisoner.
The plan is for tax dollars to pay for the classes, however not everyone is on board with the idea.
An upstate senator says he is opposing using the taxpayer's dime when so many are struggling to pay for college.
