Driving conditions treacherous on East End
While East End snowplows tried to clean the roads numerous times on Saturday, conditions remained treacherous.
Nurse Bernadette McKay said she had no choice but to drive to work.
"I traveled from Selden to Southampton, and it took me about an hour and forty minutes," she said.
Plow operator Kenny Booth says business was good for him. Saturday was the eighth time he's been on the job in two weeks.
Southampton Village Mayor Mark Epsley said snowplow drivers worked late Saturday night into Sunday morning to keep roads clear.
