Long Island residents say they are sick of the snow
Storm after storm has many Long Island residents saying they are done with snow.
Vicki Diji, of Westbury, says the worst part of the snowy weather has been driving on the slushy and slippery roads. She says she skidded off of the Wantagh Parkway during a storm last week.
Residents are not the only ones who are sick of the snow. Some retailers say they are not happy with the weather, either.
Costello Ace Hardware Store manager Andy Pergament says they have to wait until Saturday morning for a delivery of shovels and ice melt. He says the truck carrying those snow essentials was delayed because of bad weather in upstate New York.
While many might think we have had record-breaking snow totals on the island, News 12 Meteorologist Bill Korbel says this winter is shaping up to be pretty average.
