Snow brings challenges for local businesses for Valentine's Day
Businesses that see their biggest boost on Valentine's Day say they're up for the challenge that the latest round of snow has brought.
At Nielsen's Florists in Darien, the store's owner says drivers are ready to make deliveries through tomorrow, adding that delivering flowers is better in the snow since everyone tends to be home.
Frizt Knipschildt, who owns the Chocopologie Cafe in South Norwalk, still hosted a pre-Valentine's Day truffle-making class Thursday and says he only had a couple of cancellations. The cafe saw big business since many customers planned ahead and preordered gifts before the snow.
Many local businesses say they're still hoping for a big day Friday once the snow stops.
