Fleetwood business owners blame sluggish sales on poor city cleanup after snowfall
Business owners in Fleetwood have joined forces to complain about the lack of snow removal on streets.
The owner of Mazzy's Bar on Gramatan Avenue says that he, along with many other store owners, were forced to shovel sidewalks to make sure people could make it to their doors.
At Fleetwood Pastry Shop, workers also had to shovel the sidewalk. The owner says sales are down about 15 percent since the snowfall. He blames the lack of sales on poor city cleanup.
"Everybody is angry. Everybody is fed up," says owner Enzo Cutaia. "You don't get answers if you call the city. Everybody is looking at each other like, 'What's next, what do we do?'"
