Sean Farrell, of Medford, pleads not guilty to killing mom Bonnie Farrell with ax

A Medford man accused of murdering his mother with an ax pleaded not guilty today.



A grand jury indictment was unsealed against Sean Farrell in Riverhead.



Bonnie Farrell's body was found in her bedroom in December. Farrell is accused of hitting his mother numerous times in the head with an ax.



Farrell's lawyer says he suffers from schizophrenia.



Farrell is being held without bail.
