The state attorney general says three fake charities that have preyed on generous Long Islanders have been shut down.
Bi-County Helpline for Abuse Against Women and Children in Farmingville, Long Island Responds and Breast Cancer Funds for Research were all shut down.
The attorney general says they had virtually no charitable activities.
