Heavy, wet snow that changed to freezing rain has tapered off across Long Island.
Areas in Locust Valley and Woodbury saw the most snow accumulations with 5 inches. Other areas in western Nassau saw only 1 to 2 inches.
News 12 Meteorologists say wet roads will create icy roadways as temperatures continue to drop Wednesday night. Drivers are urged to take it slow during Thursday's morning commute.
High temperatures will be near 30 degrees Thursday.
Forecasters say there is more snow expected on Long Island Sunday.
