Suffolk Legislator Sara Anker outraged over Ralph Lauren clothing featuring tattered American flag
Suffolk County Legislator Sara Anker is expressing her outrage at a recent line of Ralph Lauren clothing that displays a tattered American flag.
Anker, who's father is a disabled veteran, says holes in the flag is a sign of disrespect for military veterans. She goes on to say that there is no problem with displaying a flag if it is done with respect and honor.
Anker says she has reached out to both Ralph Lauren and Macy's, where the display was set up, to address the clothing line.
Ralph Lauren did not return a call to comment on this report. News 12 was told that Macy's is preparing a formal response.
