Newsday truck driver killed in crash on Sunrise Highway in Copiague


Police say a 52-year-old male driver of a Newsday truck has died following a crash.



Police say Michael Buccellato was driving eastbound on Sunrise Highway near Great Neck Road when he somehow crossed over the median just after 3 a.m. The man was ejected from the truck.



News 12 Long Island has learned the man died at the scene.



No other vehicles were involved. Police are investigating why the man lost control of the car.



Sunrise Highway has since been reopened in Copiague.
